Waiting times for physiotherapy are over 1 month, with typical patient contact being two appointments 3-4 weeks apart. Physiotherapy currently consists of suggested movements performed at home to regain motility, however, over 70% of patients to not adhere to exercises, leading to poor recovery. Due to this, their injuries get worse, and they come back to healthcare systems requiring more intensive care.
Motics breaks this cycle. Motics is a wearable solution which engages patients and provides actionable insight into muscle function. They combine hardware which gamifies physiotherapy and is able to measure and stimulate muscle activity, with software which uses machine learning to optimise recovery.
